While in a sandwich of archival polyester film, this map is now protected from handling. Encapsulation allows for safe and easy handling. Now they can flip over the map to inspect the inscriptions on the back without a worry. @cac-accr #thisisconser

Uh-oh, someone did a quick patch on the back of this painting. Luckily, we were able to remove the duct tape fairly easily to repair the small tear underneath. This entailed re-aligning the canvas fibres and even adding a few threads. Then, a thermop
